We hope you are having a wonderful summer! Below please find information about ordering school supplies through the PTA. The deadline is Friday, July 31. Also please find other important dates and information. Please reach out if we can help in any way: 703-645-7000.
We will put letters to families in the mail on August 16. These will contain homeroom information, forms and calendar information. We encourage all families to sign up for SIS ParentVue, as teacher assignments, test data and other information can be viewed there. You may also update phone numbers and contacts in SIS ParentVUE. More information and links are below.

PTA School Supplies
✏️ School Supplies - Campus Survival Kits
Get a head start on the 2026-27 school year by pre-purchasing your child’s school supplies by July 31, 2026. Your purchase supports the PTA and ensures your child has all required supplies—including preferred brands, sizes, colors, and specialty items—delivered directly to the school.

Open House Dates
Open House Dates. At Open House, you and your child (and family members) are welcome to visit the classroom, meet the teacher, greet other families and drop off school supplies. This is also a good time to make lunch payments, check on bus information and drop of medications in the clinic.
Kindergarten*: Thursday, August 20, 9-10am
1st-6th Grades: Friday, August 21 9-10 am <--Time change from past years
PreK Ms. Jones: Thursday, August 20, 10am-12pm
PreK Ms. Chang PAC and Ms. Djeddi: Thursday, August 20, 10:30-11:30am
PreK Ms. Solis: Thursday, August 20, 12:30-1:30pm
*Note: Our kindergarten Open House includes an opportunity for the K teachers to present information to parents and caregivers. The 1st-6th Open House is an informal drop-in opportunity without teacher presentations.
First Day of School Dates:
--K-6 and PAC: Monday, August 24. School hours are 9:05am-3:50pm. Doors open at 8:45am, students may go to class at 8:55am.
--PreK (Jones, Djeddi, Solis): Thursday, August 27.
Back to School Night for all classes, preK-6:
Thursday, September 17. There will be 3 repeating sessions at 6:30pm, 7:10pm and 7:35pm.
FCPS 2026-2027 Calendar
Summer Meals. FCPS is serving breakfast and lunch at designated sites through August 21. For more info, click HERE
School Meals. Please go to the FCPS Food and Nutrition Services site for access to breakfast and lunch prices, prepayments, menus and free/reduced meal applications: HERE
Prepayments: FCPS uses MySchoolBucks for prepayments: HERE.
Payments by cash or check. These can be dropped off in the school cafeteria at Open House, or sent to school with your child as needed. Checks should be made payable to Camelot Food Services.
Apply Today for Free and Reduced Price Meals. Families must complete the Free and Reduced-Price Meal application before the start of each school year. Approved applications may also qualify students for additional benefits. Access the application and view criteria on the Free and Reduced-Price Meals webpage Students who were approved for free and reduced-price meals last year are eligible for the first 30 days of school this year (or until a new application is processed). Families should re-apply as soon as possible so eligible students continue to receive meals at no cost.
Support Your Child’s Success by Checking SIS ParentVUE. Access your student’s attendance records, grades, test data, etc., at any time with SIS ParentVUE. Parents/caregivers should receive an activation code when they register their child. Contact the school registrar, Silvia Galicia (703-645-7000) if you need a code.
SIS ParentVUE Account Registration Get registered for the FCPS secure solution for accessing information about your child's attendance, class performance, demographic data, and link to Schoology.
SIS ParentVUE Mobile App Get registered for the FCPS secure solution for accessing information about your child's attendance, class performance, demographic data, and link to Schoology.
SIS ParentVUE Online Verification/Update (OVU) Packet Parents/caregivers can now electronically update phone numbers, emergency contacts, health conditions, and upload immunization records for their students via ParentVUE.
