Thank you famiies for joining us for Summer Quest 2026! What a wonderful way to build relationships that will provide a strong foundation to helping our students build their sense of belonging at Chesterbrook for the coming year.

Thank you to Franklin Sherman Principal, Farris Thomas, for opening their school to give us a space to continue this wonderful program this summer while our building was closed.

Principal's Message
Dear Chesterbrook Families,
While our students have been immersed in summer camp at Franklin Sherman, we have been busy at Chesterbrook getting things ready for our opening. Last week I was able to spend our FCPS leadership week with our McLean Pyramid Administrative teams in a week of professional learning and collaboration with great leaders across our division as we all look towards the wonderful year ahead for our students. It was a pleasure to welcome the newly appointed principals joining our McLean pyramid, Kelly Cabezas at Kent Gardens, and Jeremey Ferrara at Haycock. I value the precious time I receive to work with colleagues as we lift up this work to support staff, families and together we help our students thrive.
Most of our new families are registered now and hopefully receiving these messages. Please ask around if you know of a new family in your neighborhood and make sure they are aware of our school supply sales that need to be ordered to receive in time for our opening.
Have a wonderful week and I do hope each of our Chesterbrook families are taking time to build special memories this summer. Wish me luck as I take my youngest to college for his freshman year the end of this week! Each stage of life holds an element of excitement and challenge for children. I have always been one to embrace each milestone as they grow. Please know along with our incredibly dedicated and exceptional staff, I take great pride in helping your children during this chapter and cannot wait to welcome everyone back for the 2026-27 school year.

*New this year the Noot Headphones can be ordered as an add on within the Kit for younger grades (K-4). See pull down option.
*5th and 6th grade headphones are already included in your kit order.
Order online by July 31st to ensure that everything makes it to
Chesterbrook in time for delivery prior to our first day!
If your family needs help purchasing school supplies, please reach out to school social worker, Maria Mahoney, mtmahoney@fcps.edu. Mrs. Mahoney will return to work from summer break later this week.

*We will hold two classroom sessions for parents to divide up and visit the grade level teachers for their child(ren).
