Chantilly Pyramid Magic School Bus Annual Event - Wish List Help Needed!

Every August, staff members from the Chantilly Pyramid schools visit communities in our boundary to meet families, welcome students, and distribute school supplies to students in need.  Each year, we see an increase in students who need assistance, and we are hoping that our caring Charger community will help us again this year by donating the most-requested school supplies.  We are in need of the following:

  1. Backpacks
  2. Crayons
  3. Colored Pencils
  4. Non-perishable snacks such as fruit snacks, granola bars, juice boxes and snack size boxes of crackers, chips, and cereal
  5. Pencils
  6. Composition Books
  7. Pencil Pouches
  8. College Ruled Notebooks
  9. Black and Blue Pens
  10. College and Wide-Ruled Notebook Paper

Any size donation is appreciated and will go directly to a student in the Chantilly pyramid. You may order directly through our Amazon Wish List or drop off supplies to Chantilly HS main office Monday-Friday from 9-1 PM through August 7, 2026.  We will also take gently used Chantilly spirit wear if you or your Charger are ready to retire some CHS gear.  If you would like to watch The CHS Knightly News segment about the Magic School Bus, please use this link to view.

Thanks for your ongoing support- we love our Charger Community!

ParentVUE and StudentVUE Sign-in Changes Beginning July 28

Beginning July 28, FCPS will ask parents and students to install the new ParentVUE and StudentVUE apps. The current (classic) apps will remain available for approximately six months to support the transition. During this time, the classic apps will keep prompting users to upgrade to the new apps.

The new login screen for both apps will display User Name and Password fields, with a Login FCPS SSO button below them. Using the Login FCPS SSO provides a more secure sign-in experience.

Students will continue to use their existing FCPS username and password.

Please share the following resources with families for instructions on installing the new apps and details about the updated login experience:

Support: Parents needing assistance should submit a Parent Support Request.

Student Online Verification/Update (OVU) opens July 24

The 2026–27 Online Verification/Update (OVU) packet will be available in ParentVUE beginning July 24. This timeline aligns with projected Student Information Assistant (SIA) availability, supports timely processing of summer registration submissions, and ensures access prior to the July 27 start of the fall sports season.

The OVU packet allows parents to electronically update phone numbers, emergency contacts, health conditions, and upload immunization records for their students via ParentVUE. Electronic capture of this information improves data quality and reduces staff workload. Please encourage all families to sign up for a ParentVUE account so they can have direct access to student information.

Instructions and detailed information are available at the following site:

FCPS Student Activities and Athletics Partners with FinalForms for Student Registration for Athletics and Activities

We are very excited to announce that Fairfax County Public Schools has partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service. FinalForms allows you to complete and sign athletic forms for your students. FCPS and FinalForms have worked to ensure we safeguard your most sensitive information. FinalForms meets all of FCPS’ rigorous data protection requirements and will be a tremendous new partner.

The most exciting news is that FinalForms saves data year-to-year, meaning that you will never need to enter the same information twice! FinalForms will also pre-populate information wherever possible, for each of your students, saving you time. You may review your data at any time to verify it is current. You will be required to sign your forms once per year and after any update.

All parents with students registered in grades 9-12 will receive a confirmation email from FinalForms. These emails will be delivered to the email address associated with the enrolling parent. Please check your spam/junk folder and if the FinalForms email landed there please “mark as safe” emails from FinalForms and add them to your “contacts”. Chantilly High School, and the Office of Student Activities and Athletics, will use FinalForms to communicate directly with the enrolling parent regularly throughout the school year.

After you receive the initial email from FinalForms, click on the Parent Playbook (Parent Playbook - Spanish) to get started in FinalForms. If you require any support during the process, scroll to the page bottom-right and click “Get Help”.
