Dear Haycock Families,
One last time, I want to thank you for the opportunity and privilege of serving as the principal of Haycock for the last six years. I will cherish the memories of my time spent here with our amazing students, staff members, and all of you.
Please join me in welcoming and embracing the new interim principal of Haycock, Jennifer Ganci, who will start tomorrow, July 1.

⌚Summer Office Hours
For the month of July, summer office hours are 9:00 to 1:00 or by appointment. Call ahead if you need to stop by before or after those summer hours, 703-531-4000.
Please note, the office will be closed on July 3 in observance of Independence Day.

🛝Rising Kindergarten Summer Playdates
Saturday, June 27 at 9:00 a.m. (PJs and Pals)
Sunday, July 26 at 9:00 a.m. (Magic!)
Saturday, August 22 at 9:00 a.m. (Meet your teacher and classmates)
All summer playdates are on the Haycock playground behind school.
🌞Summer Editions of the Haycock Hello
In July, Summer editions of the Haycock Hello will only be sent out on an as needed basis to share important and timely information with you regarding the start of the 2026-27 school year.
🍽️Dining Room Assistant Position
We will be hiring additional dining room assistants for the 2026-27 school year. Dining assistants monitor students while they are eating in the cafeteria and help students clean up and line up to be picked up by their teachers after lunch.
Generally, dining room assistants work from 11:00 to 2:00 Monday through Friday, or any combinations of those days you are available.
If you are interested in joining the Haycock staff to help us in this role, please email Cathie Eames at CJEames@fcps.edu and include your resume. It's a wonderful way to help our school community and earn hourly pay!
