🎉6th Grade Promotion

What an incredible day! This morning, we officially celebrated our amazing 6th graders as they crossed the stage and were promoted to middle school.

To our promoted students: We are so incredibly proud of everything you have accomplished this year. You have shown resilience, leadership, and kindness, and while we will miss you dearly in our hallways, we know you are going to absolutely crush it in middle school!

A milestone this big doesn't happen without an extraordinary team. I want to extend a massive thank you to our phenomenal 6th-grade teachers: Ms. Mangels, Ms. Beans, Mr. Morrow, and Ms. Sheikh.

Thank you for your tireless dedication all year long, and for pouring so much energy into making this final week of school absolutely packed with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories for our students. You truly made this year special.

Families, thank you for partnering with us every step of the way!

🕒Summer Office Hours

Our main office will be open daily this summer from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.

We will be closed on June 22-26 for office cleaning and July 3 for the Fourth of July holiday.

📆Early Release Wednesdays for 2026-27

FCPS will continue with limited early release Wednesdays for elementary schools during the 2026-27 school year. The number of days has been reduced from eight to four.

Early release Wednesdays provide elementary teachers with a dedicated block of time to prepare lessons, participate in professional development and training, and collaborate with their peers. A well-supported and continuously improving teaching staff leads to better educational outcomes for students.

Please view the dates for our school’s early release Wednesdays below:

  • September 30
  • November 18
  • January 13
  • April 7

Visit the FCPS website for more information about early release Wednesdays.
