Lees Corner’s Open House for the 2026-2027 School Year will be on Friday, August 21st, during the morning and early afternoon. Specific times and details will be sent in August.
Starting on Monday, June 23, the Main Office summer office hours will be from 9am-12pm, Monday-Friday. Since the Main Entrance/front door will be under construction, please call the main office at 703-227-3500 to have someone come and let you into the building during these hours. You can also email Mr. Miller at mrmiller@fcps.edu. If there are any other renovation adjustments to office hours, we will place a note on the Main Office Doors.
The office will be closed on June 19th and July 3rd for the Juneteenth and 4th of July holidays.
If you have a child still attending Lees Corner next year, please keep your Kiss & Ride card in a safe place for the summer. Your family will continue to have the same number and we hope to avoid re-printing cards in the Fall.
Thanks for helping us conserve paper!
Instructional Services is supporting student learning over the summer. Digital and print resources are being curated on the Summer Learning Resources webpage for students and families to review and practice previously taught content throughout the summer months.
Resources are organized by grade level and aligned to the learning students experienced during the school year. Families can access the materials at any time to review concepts, practice skills, or explore new ideas at home. Additional resources will continue to be added throughout June.
Starting Monday, June 22, no-cost meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis at the sites and times listed on the FCPS Summer Food Service Program webpage. Students must remain on-site while eating their meals.
This year, thanks to generous support from Educate Fairfax, families may also receive one no-cost breakfast and lunch per adult at the following elementary schools: Braddock, Dogwood, Glen Forest, Hutchison, Hybla Valley, and London Towne.
Summer sites will continue to be added, so check the Summer Food webpage regularly for updates.
FCPS will continue limited early-release Wednesdays for elementary schools during the 2026-27 school year. The number has been reduced from eight to four days.
Early release Wednesdays provide elementary teachers with a dedicated block of time to prepare lessons, participate in professional development and training, and collaborate with their peers. A well-supported and continuously improving teaching staff leads to better educational outcomes for students.
Lees Corner’s Early Release Wednesdays are:
- October 21
- December 2
- February 10
- May 5
Visit the FCPS website for more information about early release Wednesdays, including the list of early release dates.
