Dearest Terraset Community,
As I write my last community message as your proud principal, I am overwhelmed by gratitude. I am grateful for having had the opportunity to serve our precious children, grateful for the relationships I have built with each of you, and grateful for what we have been able to accomplish together. Thank you for your partnership and trust over the past three school years.
The process has begun to identify your next principal, and a community message was sent by the Region 1 office to all families via email on Friday. This communication outlines the steps in the process, how you can get involved, and when to expect the various components to be completed.
I will miss all of you as I transition to a new home in South Carolina, and support some family needs. Wishing everyone the absolute best summer and future school years ahead.
Warmly,
Katie Aldridge, Principal
Dave Ickowski, Assistant Principal

💻Support Your Child’s Success in SIS ParentVUE
Signing up for a SIS ParentVUE account helps you to support your child’s academic success! Caregivers can view important information like attendance, grades, progress reports, and assessment scores through ParentVUE.
Once you have activated a ParentVUE account for an FCPS student, you will keep the same account until the student graduates. Information about students in the same family can be accessed through the same ParentVUE account. It is available online and as a mobile app for Apple and Android devices.
Need help creating a SIS ParentVue account? This video walks through the steps. Find out more about SIS ParentVUE.
If you already have an account, be sure your contact information is up to date. Parents/guardians can update their phone numbers or email addresses in the Parent/Guardian section. View additional details about ParentVUE.
Activate Your ParentVUE Account to Stay Connected
On Wednesday, July 29, FCPS families who haven't activated their ParentVUE account will receive an email with the subject “Fairfax County Public Schools ParentVUE Activation Letter.”
The email will include instructions to activate a ParentVUE account. If you don’t have an account and don’t receive the email, please check your spam folder or open a Parent Support Request. After July 29, families may also contact [school registrar name and phone/email] to request a printed activation letter or a new activation key, if needed.
All families are encouraged to activate their accounts as soon as possible to ensure they receive immediate access to important student information and school communications.
For assistance activating your account, please contact our front office. For technical support, create a Parent Support Request.

We Did It—Awesome Job, Terraset! Thanks to the incredible generosity and enthusiasm of our students, families, staff, and volunteers, we not only reached our Tigers on the Run fundraising goal, we exceeded it! We are so grateful to everyone who registered, collected pledges, ran!, volunteered, cheered on our runners, and helped make this event such a success. Your support will help fund PTO-sponsored programs, events, teacher support, educational enrichment opportunities, and community-building activities that benefit all Terraset students throughout the year.
