Week of June 15 to 17

  • Last Day of School is June 17 with students being dismissed 2-Hours Early at 2:00 pm

Dear Fort Belvoir Primary Families,

As we officially cross the finish line, I want to send a huge, heartfelt thank you to all of our amazing military-connected families.

Your children are the absolute heart and soul of our school. We are so proud of the resilience, kindness, and joy they brought to our classrooms this year, and we are incredibly grateful for your partnership.

As we head into the break, here is my ultimate summer wish list for your family:

  • Safety. Whether summer keeps you right here at Fort Belvoir or takes you on new adventures across the globe, I wish you safe travels and peaceful days.

  • Relaxation. With all the moving parts and transitions your families navigate, I hope these next few weeks give you a chance to step away from the routines, slow down, and just enjoy the quiet moments together.

  • Fun. May your days be packed with laughter, extra playtime, and wonderful, uninterrupted quality time together.

Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and for being such a vital part of our community. Have the most wonderful summer - Principal Delaney

Early Release Wednesdays

Early Release Wednesdays for 2026-27FCPS will continue with limited early release Wednesdays for elementary schools during the 2026-27 school year. The number has been reduced from eight to four days.

Early release Wednesdays provide elementary teachers with a dedicated block of time to prepare lessons, participate in professional development and training, and collaborate with their peers. A well-supported and continuously improving teaching staff leads to better educational outcomes for students.
