Principal's Message

Dear Crestwood Families,

What an incredible week we have had! I want to extend a huge thank you to our wonderful community for your overwhelming support of our school during our many events this week. Your partnership, energy, and presence make Crestwood such a special place for our students to learn and grow. We truly could not do this without you.

Soccer Game Update: Crestwood vs. Lynbrook

We are so sad to announce that the 2nd Annual Crestwood vs. Lynbrook Soccer Game has been cancelled because of severe weather. We were incredibly excited to close out our epic spirit week at Lewis High School with this wonderful community showdown, and we will miss seeing everyone come out in our school colors to cheer our players on to victory. While we are deeply disappointed to miss this matchup, the safety of our student-athletes and community members is always our top priority.

Important End-of-Year Reminders

As we head into our final week of the school year, please keep these important dates and times in mind:

  • Monday, June 15th: We will celebrate our oldest students during the 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony, which begins at 10:00 AM. The 6th Grade Party will immediately follow the ceremony. We are so proud of our rising middle schoolers and look forward to celebrating their achievements!

  • Wednesday, June 17th: This will be the last day of school for all students. Please note that we will have a 2-hour early release, and dismissal will begin at 1:55 PM. Please make necessary arrangements for your child’s afternoon pickup.

Thank you once again for an amazing school year filled with learning, growth, and community.

Sincerely,

Ms. Casablanca

Elementary Early Release Wednesdays

Early Release Wednesdays for 2026-27

FCPS will continue with limited early release Wednesdays for elementary schools during the 2026-27 school year. The number has been reduced from eight to four days.

Early release Wednesdays provide elementary teachers with a dedicated block of time to prepare lessons, participate in professional development and training, and collaborate with their peers. A well-supported and continuously improving teaching staff leads to better educational outcomes for students.
