Thank you for supporting our End-of-Year Family Celebration Picnic! We truly appreciated everyone's flexibility and positive spirit when we had to move the event indoors due to the heat. We thank the Fairfax250 Commission for its support of this program, part of Fairfax County’s commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
This afternoon, we hosted our annual 6th Graders vs. Staff Volleyball Game! The energy was incredible, and our 6th graders definitely brought their A-game. It was a fun-filled afternoon of teamwork, sportsmanship, and friendly competition!
Dear Garfield Families,
Can you believe we have arrived at the final stretch? After today, there are officially only 2.5 days left in the school year, and the energy throughout the building is absolutely buzzing! We are so incredibly proud of everything our students have accomplished.
We need your partnership to help us cross the finish line smoothly. First, we are on a mission to solve a major mystery: we currently have over 100 library books missing. We kindly ask that you take a look under beds, behind couches, and deep inside backpacks this evening, and please return any found books to the media center as soon as possible so we can ready our collection for next year.
Additionally, even though summer is just around the corner, every single day still counts. Attendance continues to be incredibly important, as we want to see every smiling face here for our final wrap-ups and celebrations. Rest assured, our classrooms are still packed with fun and engagement, as teachers have fantastic activities planned to keep students learning and laughing together right up until the final bell.
Thank you for your amazing support throughout this school year and let’s all continue strong until the end!
Blessings and Joy, Mrs. Peerman and Ms. Manning
