Dear Woodley Hills Family,
What a great week it has been at our school! Our Student Council did an amazing job planning Spirit Week. Seeing our hallways filled with so much energy and creativity was the perfect way to start the end of the school year.
Our grade-level family picnics were also a huge success. It was wonderful to see so many families hanging out together and enjoying the sunshine. These moments show how lucky we are to have such a supportive community.
Our youngest students really shined this week during their kindergarten promotion show, "Bugz." The singing was great, and the kids brought so much energy to the stage. They did a fantastic job celebrating this big step!

The fun continued with our Variety Show, which was packed with talent. I hope you enjoyed the surprise performance by the 6th-grade teachers and me! We had a blast putting it together, and making the students laugh made it all worth it.
Next week, we are looking forward to our 6th-grade celebrations and promotion. It is always a little sad to say goodbye to our oldest students, but we are so proud of them. We cannot wait to give them a great send-off.
Most importantly, I am so grateful to be the principal of the best elementary school in Virginia. The constant support from our families and staff has made this year everything I could imagine and more. Thank you for making our school such a special place for students to learn and grow!

Student Testing Results Coming Soon
Through June, you will receive your child’s spring assessment results. If you aren’t sure what assessments your child took this year, you can view a list of tests by grade level on the FCPS website.
Most scores are available in SIS ParentVUE. Visit FCPS’ website for additional information about how test results are reported to families.
Websites for each test provide report translations and help with understanding test results. Please contact our front office with any testing questions or for additional information about how our school and teachers use test results to support student success.
Support Your Child’s Success in SIS ParentVUE
Signing up for a SIS ParentVUE account helps you to support your child’s academic success! Caregivers can view important information like attendance, grades, progress reports, and assessment scores through ParentVUE.
Once you have activated a ParentVUE account for an FCPS student, you will keep the same account until the student graduates. Information about students in the same family can be accessed through the same ParentVUE account. It is available online and as a mobile app for Apple and Android devices.

If you already have an account, be sure your contact information is up to date. Parents/guardians can update their phone numbers or email addresses in the Parent/Guardian section. View additional details about ParentVUE.
Activate Your ParentVUE Account to Stay Connected
On Wednesday, July 29, FCPS families who haven't activated their ParentVUE account will receive an email with the subject “Fairfax County Public Schools ParentVUE Activation Letter.”
The email will include instructions to activate a ParentVUE account. If you don’t have an account and don’t receive the email, please check your spam folder or open a Parent Support Request. After July 29, families may also contact the school registrar, Sandra Guzman, by phone at 703-799-2001 or by e-mail at sguzman@fcps.edu to request a printed activation letter or a new activation key, if needed.
All families are encouraged to activate their accounts as soon as possible to ensure they receive immediate access to important student information and school communications.

Early Release Wednesdays for 2026-27
FCPS will continue with limited early release Wednesdays for elementary schools during the 2026-27 school year. The number has been reduced from eight to four days.
Early release Wednesdays provide elementary teachers with a dedicated block of time to prepare lessons, participate in professional development and training, and collaborate with their peers. A well-supported and continuously improving teaching staff leads to better educational outcomes for students.
