A Message from the PTA President

Dear Hunt Valley Families,

As this will be my last newsletter before school is done, I want to thank you all for a memorable year of fun events, learning, new friendships and community.  I started in August with some apprehension of the unknown, it being only my family’s second year at Hunt Valley and being inexperienced in all things PTA.  The students, staff, teachers, parents, and families all welcomed me in as PTA president with open arms and kind words.  It has been a wonderfully enriching experience and I highly encourage everyone to be involved with the school when they can.  I wanted a village so I chose to be a villager (no Minecraft reference intended 😂). I am looking forward to being a member of the Hawks village again next year.

VA PTA Awards Nominees

Congratulations to our many volunteers!  Your hard work and efforts have earned the Hunt Valley PTA a nomination for the Virginia PTA “Impactful PTA” Award.  An extra shoutout goes to VP Kate Johnson as a nominee for VAPTA’s “Volunteer of the Year”, a well deserved accolade for all her hard work and time this school year!
