What a wonderful week of celebrations and learning at our school!
Our kindergarten students delighted families during their End-of-Year Celebration, where they sang songs and proudly demonstrated their readiness for first grade. Our talented strings students also showcased their hard work with a concert for students in grades 3–6, filling the building with beautiful music. To top it all off, our sixth graders enjoyed a friendly kickball game against staff, creating memories that will last for years to come.
As we head into the final week of school, the excitement continues with our 6th Grade Farewell Ceremony, Field Day, and classroom parties. We look forward to closing out a fantastic year together!

Early Release Wednesdays for 2026-27
FCPS will continue with limited early release Wednesdays for elementary schools during the 2026-27 school year, however the number has been reduced from eight to four days.
Early release Wednesdays provide elementary teachers with a dedicated block of time to prepare lessons, participate in professional development and training, and collaborate with peers. A well-supported and continuously improving teaching staff leads to better educational outcomes for students.
Find more information about early release Wednesdays, including the list of early release dates.
