Annandale Seniors and Families,
Congratulations on an incredible four years, which came to a close at Monday’s graduation ceremony at EagleBank Arena.
During the ceremony, Class President Tea Akl reflected on the friendships, experiences, and passions that defined her high school journey. She reminded her classmates that while academic success matters, some of the most meaningful moments come from pursuing what you love and sharing that with others. She encouraged graduates to keep challenging themselves, invest in their interests, and enjoy the journey ahead.
We also heard from Annandale alumna Kelsey Knoche, Director of Operations for the University of Virginia men's basketball program. She encouraged students not to rush through life's milestones and to appreciate the moments that may seem ordinary today but often become the memories we treasure most. Drawing from her own experience leaving her comfort zone to pursue professional opportunities across the country, she reminded graduates that growth often comes from embracing uncertainty and taking chances on themselves.
Throughout their time at Annandale, the Class of 2026 demonstrated what is possible when high expectations are paired with hard work, perseverance, and support from those around them. But, perhaps most importantly, they have shown resilience, compassion, and a willingness to grow through challenges.
All of us here at Annandale are incredibly proud of the contributions the Class of 2026 has made throughout their time with us. It has been a privilege to be part of your high school experience. On behalf of the Annandale High School staff, congratulations to the Class of 2026.
