6th Promotion

TC Families,

What an incredible school year it has been! As we wrap up these final days, we are filled with immense gratitude for our wonderful students, our dedicated staff, and our incredibly supportive community.

Check out the pictures of our favorite highlights from the final weeks of school:

  • Celebrating our 6th graders at their promotion ceremony!

  • Watching the Lamb Mowers during their visit to TC as they help us with the removal of invasive vines on school property.

  • Cheering on our youngest learners during the Kindergarten Alphabet Parade.

  • Cozying up to read in a "tent" for Camping Day!

All of our grade levels have had their end of year celebrations over the last week and it would not have been possible without the help of our families. Thank you to all of our parent volunteers who gave their time and energy to to celebrate the year with us. We appreciate you more than words can say.

🗓️ Important End-of-Year Reminders:

  • Preschool Families: Happy Summer! Today is the final day of school for all preschool students.

  • K-6 Families: Tomorrow is the last day of school! Please note that we have an Early Dismissal at 1:25 PM.

  • Report Cards: Keep an eye out, as report cards will be sent home tomorrow with your students.

As you look ahead to the break, please scroll down to find upcoming dates for the 26-27 school year and the link to next year's school supply lists so you can stay ahead of the game.

We wish you all a safe, relaxing, and fun-filled summer. Disconnect, recharge, and enjoy  time with your families. We can't wait to see your smiling faces in the fall!

Warmest regards,

Early Release Wednesdays for 2026-27

FCPS will continue with limited early release Wednesdays for elementary schools during the 2026-27 school year. The number of days has been reduced from eight to four.

Early release Wednesdays provide elementary teachers with a dedicated block of time to prepare lessons, participate in professional development and training, and collaborate with their peers. A well-supported and continuously improving teaching staff leads to better educational outcomes for students.

Please view the dates for our school’s early release Wednesdays below:

  • October 21
  • December 2
  • February 10
  • May 5

Visit the FCPS website for more information about early release Wednesdays.

Student Testing Results Coming Soon

Through June, you will receive your child’s spring assessment results. If you aren’t sure what assessments your child took this year, you can view a list of tests by grade level on the FCPS website.

Most scores are available in SIS ParentVUE. Visit FCPS’ website for additional information about how test results are reported to families

Websites for each test provide report translations and help with understanding test results. Please contact our front office with any testing questions or for additional information about how our school and teachers use test results to support student success.

Summer Learning Resources

FCPS Summer Learning Resources are now available for students and families. Resources are organized by grade level and provide opportunities for students to review previously taught concepts, practice skills, and explore new ideas throughout the summer.

Families can access the resources at any time as one of many ways to support continued learning and engagement over the summer.

Additional resources will continue to be added throughout June.

Scroll Smart. Post Smart. Stay Safe.

The Fairfax County Police Department encourages teens and parents to stay informed, have open conversations about digital safety, and practice smart online habits throughout the summer months. Read recommendations to stay safe online this summer.

Support Your Child’s Success in SIS ParentVUE

Signing up for a SIS ParentVUE account helps you to support your child’s academic success! Caregivers can view important information like attendance, grades, progress reports, and assessment scores through ParentVUE.

Once you have activated a ParentVUE account for an FCPS student, you will keep the same account until the student graduates. Information about students in the same family can be accessed through the same ParentVUE account. It is available online and as a mobile app for Apple and Android devices.

Need help creating a SIS ParentVue account? This video walks through the steps. Find out more about SIS ParentVUE.

If you already have an account, be sure your contact information is up to date. Parents/guardians can update their phone numbers or email addresses in the Parent/Guardian section. View additional details about ParentVUE.

Activate Your ParentVUE Account to Stay Connected

On Wednesday, July 29, FCPS families who haven't activated their ParentVUE account will receive an email with the subject “Fairfax County Public Schools ParentVUE Activation Letter.”

The email will include instructions to activate a ParentVUE account. If you don’t have an account and don’t receive the email, please check your spam folder or open a Parent Support Request. After July 29, families may also contact Valerie Sollers at 703-249-1400 or vasollers@fcps.edu to request a printed activation letter or a new activation key, if needed.

All families are encouraged to activate their accounts as soon as possible to ensure they receive immediate access to important student information and school communications.

For assistance activating your account, please contact our front office. For technical support, create a Parent Support Request.
