Upcoming Pay and MyPath Updates
Coming in December 2026, MyPath will launch as the new Human Resources and Payroll system, replacing both MyTime and UConnect. MyPath will provide employees with one modern, easy-to-use system designed to simplify everyday tasks and save time. It will also be accessible on any device without a virtual private network (VPN).
MyPath puts employees in control. With just a few clicks, employees can manage key tasks such as entering time and absence requests; viewing pay stubs (also known as pay advices), W-2s, and pay information; and updating direct deposit and personal information.
When MyPath launches, FCPS will move to more consistent, stable pay for less-than-12-month employees who are paid monthly and for less-than-12-month contracted employees who are paid biweekly.
The Department of Human Resources recently sent a link to an online stable payroll calculator to all impacted employees. For more information on the payroll changes, please visit Payroll’s What You Need to Know Atlas page.
To learn more about MyPath, visit the MyPath Atlas page and stay informed as information is shared in Employee News throughout the transition. Submit any MyPath questions via StaffConnect.
Early Release Wednesdays for 2026-27
FCPS will continue with limited early release Wednesdays for elementary schools during the 2026-27 school year, however the number has been reduced from eight to four days.
Early release Wednesdays provide elementary teachers with a dedicated block of time to prepare lessons, participate in professional development and training, and collaborate with peers. A well-supported and continuously improving teaching staff leads to better educational outcomes for students.
Find more information about early release Wednesdays, including the list of early release dates.

South Lakes Teacher Ensures Every Student Is Celebrated
For students who benefit from an adapted curriculum, traditional large-scale graduations might be overwhelming due to noise, crowds, and length. So South Lakes teachers and leadership students created a specialized, accessible graduation ceremony tailored to these students' specific needs.

Thanks to her, they look forward to going to work every single week!”
