It was a great end of the year with these two Principals-in-training. Thank you Avery and Liam for a smooth last day. |
Dear Families,
We made it! As the final bell rings today, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to our incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive families. This school year has been filled with growth, laughter, and hard work, and I could not be prouder of our school community.
Thank You for Your Trust: Sending your children through our doors every morning requires an immense amount of trust. Thank you for partnering with us and trusting us to care for, protect, and nurture your students this year. It is a privilege we never take take for granted.
Together, we have built a culture of achievement and belonging, and the results speak for themselves. Before we head off for summer vacation, I want to share a few incredible milestones we achieved this year thanks to our collective efforts.
📊 Reasons to Celebrate: Our Year in Numbers
We have looked at our data from this past year, and the growth our students have shown is nothing short of phenomenal. Here are a few highlights we are especially proud of:
-
Showing Up for Success: We dramatically reduced our chronic absenteeism rate to just 3%! Thank you for prioritizing daily attendance—being here is the first step to learning.
-
Math Milestones: We saw tremendous growth in math across all grade levels. Specifically, we expanded access to advanced math in grades 3–6, with 35% of these students participating in advanced math coursework this year.
-
Reading Triumphs: Our literacy initiatives paid off with an increase in the number of students meeting or exceeding expectations in reading.
-
Supporting the Whole Child: Education is about more than just academics. On our recent Social Emotional Screener, we saw a 5% growth in positive outcomes for students in grades 3–6, proving that our kids are growing more resilient, self-aware, and connected.
🎒 Summer Reminders & Office Hours
-
Keep Reading! Please encourage your children to read for pleasure this summer. Visiting the local library is a great way to keep those reading muscles strong.
-
Main Office Hours: Our school office will operate on summer hours starting next week 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Stay Tuned: Keep an eye on your inbox in August for information regarding class placements, school supply lists, and orientation dates for the upcoming school year.
👏 Community Spotlight: Above and Beyond
A school is only as strong as its community, and we are incredibly fortunate to have such passionate supporters.
I want to extend a massive thank you to our phenomenal PTA Board for their tireless hard work, creativity, and dedication all year long. A special shout-out goes to our PTA President, Bruce Eastmunt, whose leadership and unwavering support have made a lasting impact on our school culture.
Additionally, we want to express our deep gratitude to the Leadbetter family. Thanks to their incredibly generous donation, our staff was able to celebrate the conclusion of the year with a fantastic end-of-year teacher party. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our educators!
To our departing 6th graders, we wish you the absolute best as you head into middle school—you are ready for this next adventure! To our returning families, thank you again for a beautiful year and for letting us be a part of your children's lives.
Have a safe, relaxing, and wonderful summer break!
Warmly,
Sharyn Prindle
