Dear Navy Elementary Families,
What an incredible week it has been at Navy Elementary! As we approach the final stretch of the school year, I want to take a moment to celebrate some of our recent successes and express my deepest gratitude to our amazing community.
First, a massive thank you to everyone who made our Field Day an absolute blast! The energy on the fields was electric, and our students had a fabulous time. This day simply would not have been possible without the overwhelming support, time, and enthusiasm of our parent volunteers. Thank you for showing up for our kids and making it such a memorable day!
Our 5th and 6th-grade strings students treated our families to a wonderful concert this week. A huge congratulations to our talented musicians and our incredible music staff for putting on such a phenomenal performance.
We are incredibly proud to share that our students did a phenomenal job on their SOLs this year! Our Dolphins performed at very high levels across the Science, Math, and Reading SOLs, showing fantastic growth from last year. We are so proud of our dedicated teachers and our supportive community for ensuring that our students were ready to "Make It Happen" this year. Your partnership at home is a huge piece of this success!
In other news, our Dolphin Dads will be meeting this Saturday at 11:00 AM to help beautify our school grounds. The crew will be working hard to remove a picnic table in disrepair and spread fresh mulch around the campus.
A huge thank you in advance to all the dads and father-figures who are showing up to help keep our school safe and beautiful!
Thank you all for your continued partnership, enthusiasm, and Dolphin pride. I hope each of you and your families have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!
Warm regards,
Jason, Kim, and Sarah

Dear Parent or Guardian:
The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the student dismissal time on the last day of school. Medication left in the health room after that time will be destroyed. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student
If your student will be enrolled in a summer program sponsored by Fairfax County Public Schools, the existing medication authorization form(s) may be used for the summer program, but you will need to pick up the medication on the last day of school and deliver the medication and completed forms to the summer learning site on the first day of the summer program. Please let the health room know if you would like a copy of the form(s).
If you have any questions, please contact your school health room aide, Kristina Mirlas, at 703.262.7110, or your school public health nurse, Kelly Pandey, at 571.373.0799.
Thank you for your cooperation and have a good summer.
