Woodson Seniors visited Fairfax Villa to inspire our students to work hard to achieve their dreams!

Small School, BIG Heart! 💓

Dear Fairfax Villa Community,

It has been a wonderful week at Fairfax Villa, and we are grateful for all the learning, growth, and special memories that are happening in our halls.

One of the highlights of the week was welcoming back our former Fairfax Villa students who are graduating this year from Woodson High School. On Wednesday, our seniors walked through our halls as our current students cheered them on with excitement and pride. It was a meaningful moment for everyone and a wonderful reminder to our littlest learners that big dreams can become reality through hard work, perseverance, and dedication.

We also enjoyed a fantastic Field Day! It was wonderful to see students building community, encouraging one another, and having fun together through a variety of activities. The smiles, teamwork, and school spirit on display made the day truly special.

As we head into the last full week of school, we encourage all students to continue showing up every day and finish the year with strong attendance. Every school day matters, and we want our students to make the most of these final opportunities to learn, celebrate, and connect with their classmates and teachers.

Please be on the lookout for communication from your child's classroom teacher regarding classroom celebrations and other fun end-of-year activities that are planned in the coming days.

Thank you for all that you do each day to support your children and our school community. Your partnership plays an important role in our students' success, and we are grateful for your continued support throughout the year.

Warmly,

Ms. Textoris & Mrs. Burke

Your feedback matters. Please take a few minutes to share your priorities and perspectives by Monday, June 22, at 11:59 p.m.

Your individual responses will be kept confidential and will not be shared with school staff or used in any way that identifies you or your student. Only aggregate, summary-level results will be reported to the Fairfax County School Board.

✏️Attendance “Tip of the Week”

At Fairfax Villa, we have a school improvement goal around improving our attendance rate. We would like to see our absenteeism rate decrease this year from 12% to 9%.

Here is our Attendance “Tip of the Week!”

  • Monitor the Numbers: Keep track of your child’s absences. Don’t let missed days add up, as even missing two days a month can cause a child to fall behind academically and socially.
