Hello Mustangs,

Please note and remember that 8th graders will visit South County High School on June 9, 2026. Students received permission forms on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Please use the link to submit a digital permission form if your student has misplaced theirs. We are also winding down the school year with our celebration week (June 8-12) and Student Appreciation Week (June 15-17). During our celebration week, students will have a Learning Seminar Awards Ceremony on June 10, 2026, and selected 8th graders will have an awards ceremony on Friday, June 12, 2026. Our 8th-grade dance, open to all 8th graders in good standing, is on June 12, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Furthermore, students will return their laptops on June 10 and 11, and backpacks will not be permitted from June 15 to June 17. During the final week of school, we will accommodate excused absences if necessary, and students will enjoy a movie day on June 17 to cap off a fantastic year! As always, thank you for your continued support, and please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, feedback, or concerns. We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday!

Medicine Pick-Up

This is just a reminder to parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the student dismissal time (10:00am) on the last day of school (6/17/26). Medication left in the health room after that time will be destroyed.

We advise that those with diabetic or seizure emergency medications wait until your students' last day of school to pick up their medications in case of an emergency as we do not have back-ups available.

Parents are welcome to pick up other medications prior to 6/17/26.

Students cannot pick up these medications themselves.

Calendar Survey

FCPS values your input as we plan future school calendars. On Friday, June 5, all caregivers and FCPS staff will receive an email from noreply@fcps.edu containing a unique link to complete the FCPS Calendar Survey.

Your feedback matters. Please take a few minutes to share your priorities and perspectives by Monday, June 22, at 11:59 p.m.

Your individual responses will be kept confidential and will not be shared with school staff or used in any way that identifies you or your student. Only aggregate, summary-level results will be reported to the Fairfax County School Board.

If you do not receive a link to the survey or have technical difficulties completing the survey, please contact the FCPS Office of Research and Program Evaluation
