Kindergarten Registration Is Open

There’s an easy five-step process for parents wanting to register their child for kindergarten:

  1. Determine eligibility.
  2. Identify your local school.
  3. Gather documents.
  4. Fill out forms.
  5. Schedule an appointment (the student and one caregiver must be present).

If your student does live in the Woodburn ES boundary, please fill out the new student registration intake form. This form will be submitted to our school registrar, Jackie Garcia, who will be able to assist you with the new student registration process.

Artwork inspired by Symphony

Artwork

What a wonderful celebration of student creativity!

Woodburn's 4th and 6th grade students had their artwork, inspired by Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5, featured in a special exhibit at George Mason University Center for the Arts. We are incredibly proud of our student artists!

Thank you Davis Center!

Davis Center

This week we said goodbye to our Davis Center class. We are incredibly grateful for the many ways they supported our school community throughout the year. Having them at Woodburn is always a joy, and we deeply appreciate the kindness, hard work, and positive contributions they brought to our Woodburn family. They will be missed, and we wish them all the best!

Calendar Survey

FCPS values your input as we plan future school calendars. On Friday, June 5, all caregivers and FCPS staff will receive an email from noreply@fcps.edu containing a unique link to complete the FCPS Calendar Survey.

Your feedback matters. Please take a few minutes to share your priorities and perspectives by Monday, June 22, at 11:59 p.m.

Your individual responses will be kept confidential and will not be shared with school staff or used in any way that identifies you or your student. Only aggregate, summary-level results will be reported to the Fairfax County School Board.

If you do not receive a link to the survey or have technical difficulties completing the survey, please contact the FCPS Office of Research and Program Evaluation
