The Liberty Ledger
Liberty students recite the NJHS pledge during this year's pinning ceremony, formally joining the National Junior Honor Society and embracing its five core pillars: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.
A Note from the Principal
As we enter the final days of the school year, there is so much to celebrate and a few important updates to share.
Last week, our music department closed out the year with their final performances, and they were truly stellar. We are so proud of the talent, preparation, and dedication our students and staff showcased on stage. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the arts and the incredible work happening in our classrooms. Our Art Show was also a great success, highlighting the creativity, skill, and hard work of our student artists. It was wonderful to see our halls filled with such impressive and inspiring work.
As we move into the final stretch of the school year, a few important reminders. Laptop collection is occurring this week, so please be sure your child brings their laptop and charger to school if they have not already been turned in. This helps ensure a smooth and efficient collection process for all students.
For the last three days of school (June 15th, 16th, and 17th), we are discouraging students from bringing backpacks. With laptops already collected and limited instructional materials needed, students should only bring essential items. If absolutely necessary, a small string bag is sufficient, but we ask that extra belongings stay home. As a reminder, our final day of school, June 17th, is a two-hour early release. Students will be dismissed at 12:15 pm.
There is also a lot of excitement on the horizon! We are looking forward to welcoming our graduating seniors from Centreville High School on Wednesday for their Grad Walk through our building. This is always a meaningful celebration for our students as they see the culmination of their journey. We also have our music department field trip coming up on Friday, June 12th, along with end-of-year celebrations and, before we know it, the last day of school.
Thank you for your continued support and for sharing your children with us each day. I am grateful to be part of the Liberty community.

Families of all ages are invited to join the 3rd Annual Fairfax County Puzzle Hunt. This free community event takes you on a journey across the county.
You can solve as many puzzles as you want. As you play, you will collect clues to help you work toward a final meta-puzzle. This is a great way to explore the area by walking, biking, or rolling with friends and family.
Visit www.solvingfun.com/fairfax for more details and information on how to participate.
