A Message from Principal Ritter
Dear Kings Glen Families,
As we move into the last week of school, there is still a great deal of excitement throughout the building. Our students are enjoying special end of year activities, classrooms continue to engage in instruction, and we are taking time to celebrate the hard work and growth that has taken place over the course of this school year.
Our students in band, strings and chorus all put on wonderful shows for families and students over the last week. We were blown away by the musical talent and passion that our students have and enjoyed each of these concerts. A huge thank you to Ms. VanValkenburg, Ms. Sharkey, Mr. Mason and Ms. Nickel for their hard work and dedication throughout the year in supporting our students and their love of music!
Yearbooks have arrived and students will begin receiving them today and tomorrow. Yearbooks are labeled with the student’s names on the front cover.
We want to thank you again for your continued support and all that you do for our students, staff, and school. We look forward to enjoying these final celebrations and milestones together.

Kings Glen Field Day
Thursday, June 11th, 9:30am-12pm
Field day will be held on Thursday, June 11th. One of the most exciting days of the year is not possible without our amazing volunteers. Please consider signing up to be a volunteer!
Signing Up to Volunteer?
All volunteers must be registered in Volunteer FCPS. Volunteer FCPS ensures a safe, consistent, and welcoming environment at all of our schools. This includes individuals who volunteer to chaperone on field trips, work at book fairs, support Kings Jesters, library, and assist throughout the school. If you wish to volunteer for Field Day, please be sure you are fully registered with Volunteer FCPS.
As a reminder, all volunteers — and visitors to a school — are required to sign in by scanning their ID at our visitor kiosk. Visit the Volunteer FCPS Frequently Asked Questions page to learn more.

Visit the Lost & Found!
Our Lost and Found is overflowing with jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, and other items. Please encourage your child to check for any missing belongings as soon as possible. Families are also welcome to stop by and look through the collection when you are in the building for concert season and end of the year celebrations. Any unclaimed items will be donated after June 17. Thank you for helping us reunite these items with their owners before then!
