Herndon Middle School PTA Statement on Night Hawks
The Herndon Middle School PTA strongly supports the Night Hawks program and the critical role it plays in our school community. Night Hawks provides a safe, structured space after school where students can build friendships, stay engaged, and continue learning beyond the classroom.
For many of our families, programs like this are not optional—they are essential. Our community represents a wide range of economic backgrounds, and access to affordable after-school programming is key to ensuring all students can participate.
A $300 fee per child creates a significant barrier and risks limiting access for the students who would benefit most. We encourage continued consideration of more accessible pricing or financial support options so Night Hawks remains available to all students. We strongly encourage our community to click the link above and advocate for our students.
