Welcome June! This year has flown by!
Last week, while short packed in several amazing experiences for our students. On Thursday Dr. Michelle Reid, Superintendent of FCPS, visited Mrs. Gina Caccavale's 6th Grade Algebra 1 Honors Class. This visit occurred to congratulate Mrs. Caccavale and her students on an amazing year of Algebra 1 Honors at Lemon Road and specifically for each student to score a Pass Advanced on the end of course SOL! Today, our Dranesville School Boar Representative, Robyn Lady, is also scheduled to visit. We are immensely proud of Gina & her students.
Our preschoolers had a great time painting, building, and visiting the library and our 1st graders experienced a visit from the local fire department. Our 5th graders welcomed their parents and loved ones in for a "Poetry Slam" which was a lot of fun while our 3rd graders experienced a strings "petting zoo" to help them choose which instrument they may like to play in 4th grade. Don't forget all rising 4th - 6th grade parents must click here to select your child's musical preferences so that we can create your child's schedule. Lastly, students and staff had fun with Beach Day on Friday. Thank you parents for the Freaky Friday treats!
Thank you to our parents and PTA who helped us replace our two exterior tents! They are purchased, installed, and back in use. Our tents are an investment to allow outdoor seating at lunch and take our learning outdoors as often as possible. We appreciate your partnership and support.
