Centreville Students, Families, and Community,
Last week was a testament to the incredible talent, dedication, and achievement of our students both inside and outside the classroom. Throughout the week, we had the opportunity to celebrate the many ways our Wildcats continue to excel, lead, and contribute to our school community.
We began what will be a season of celebrations by recognizing approximately 75 members of the Class of 2026 during our Senior Awards Ceremony. These students were honored for their outstanding achievements and meaningful contributions to Centreville High School. They truly embody our school’s core priorities: high academic achievement, a positive school climate, and a commitment to continuous growth and improvement. It was a privilege to celebrate their accomplishments alongside their families, teachers, and peers.
I would also like to congratulate two of our outstanding athletic programs. First, congratulations to our Girls' Soccer team on an incredible season. While their journey came to an end Thursday evening at Washington-Liberty, their resilience, teamwork, and determination were evident throughout the year. They represented Centreville with pride and sportsmanship, and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments.
In addition, congratulations to our Wildcat Baseball team on capturing the Concorde District Championship, the first district title in program history! This remarkable achievement is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes and coaching staff. The Wildcats continue their pursuit of a Region Championship on Monday evening at home against Oakton, and we encourage our community to come out and support them as they continue this historic postseason run.
As we look ahead, I want to remind students and families that all outstanding debts and obligations must be resolved by Friday, June 5. This is especially important for our graduating seniors, as caps and gowns will not be distributed until all outstanding fees have been paid. If you have any questions regarding student obligations, please contact CVHSDebtNotification@fcps.edu for assistance.
The end of the school year is nearly within our reach. While there is much to celebrate, there is still important work to be done. I encourage all students to remain focused, continue supporting one another, and give their best effort through the final days of classes, assignments, exams, performances, competitions, and celebrations. Together, let's finish the year strong and make these final weeks a reflection of the excellence that defines the Wildcat Nation.
Go Wildcats!
