A Message from Principal Crews

Dear Hollin Meadows Families,

I cannot believe it is already June! As we enter the final month of the school year, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your support, partnership, and commitment to our school community throughout this wonderful year. Your encouragement and involvement have helped make Hollin Meadows a special place for our students to learn and grow.

Recently, we celebrated our May Hornets of the Month, recognizing students who consistently demonstrated what it means to be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. We are so proud of these students and the positive example they set for others. We still have our June Hornets of the Month to celebrate, and we are excited to see how our students finish the school year strong.

As we enjoy the many exciting events ahead—including our school dance, field trips, and other end-of-year celebrations such as our Family Picnic—I ask for your support in reminding students to continue making great choices each day. These special activities are opportunities to create lasting memories, and we want all students to help make them safe, enjoyable, and successful.

Thank you again for a beautiful and supportive school year. We look forward to celebrating a fantastic finish with our Hornets and their families!

With gratitude,

Jasibi Crews, Principal

School Board Adopts Fiscal Year 2027 Approved Budget

On May 21, the Fairfax County School Board unanimously adopted the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Approved Budget, continuing FCPS’ commitment to sustaining excellence by prioritizing competitive compensation and strategic investments that support student success.

The adopted budget reflects the division’s ongoing efforts to navigate a challenging fiscal environment shaped in part by chronic state underfunding and economic uncertainty. Despite these challenges, the budget maintains key investments and restores several reductions made during the prior fiscal year. Read about the FY 2027 Budget.
