As we enter the final three weeks of school, we want to thank our students and families for a wonderful year!

While summer is just around the corner, there is still plenty of important learning, exciting activities, and memorable experiences ahead. Attendance remains extremely important during these last weeks of school. Every day counts, and students continue to engage in meaningful instruction and end-of-year celebrations. Please help us by ensuring your child attends school every day and arrives on time.

Field Day – Friday, June 5

We are excited to celebrate Field Day on Friday, June 5! Students will enjoy a variety of fun activities, including a water slide and water stations.

If your child would like to participate in the water activities, please send:

  • A bathing suit

  • A towel

  • An extra set of clothes

For safety reasons, students may not wear shoes or socks on the water slide or obstacle course. We recommend that students wear Crocs or similar slip-on water shoes that can be easily removed before participating in these activities.

We look forward to a fun-filled day and appreciate your support in helping students come prepared.

Thank you for partnering with us as we finish the school year strong!

School Board Adopts Fiscal Year 2027 Approved Budget

On May 21, the Fairfax County School Board unanimously adopted the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Approved Budget, continuing FCPS’ commitment to sustaining excellence by prioritizing competitive compensation and strategic investments that support student success.

The adopted budget reflects the division’s ongoing efforts to navigate a challenging fiscal environment shaped in part by chronic state underfunding and economic uncertainty. Despite these challenges, the budget maintains key investments and restores several reductions made during the prior fiscal year. Read about the FY 2027 Budget.
