Principal's Message

Dear Crestwood Community,

Can you believe it? We are officially down to the final 13 days of school! While summer is just around the corner, the energy down the hallways is still buzzing, and the school year is far from over.

A quick but important reminder: Every single day still counts! Excellent attendance is just as crucial now as it was in August. We have an incredible lineup of events and activities planned for our students, and we don't want anyone to miss out on the fun and core memories we are about to make.

Here is a look at the massive week of excitement we have lined up to keep the momentum going:

🏆 World Cup Spirit Week (June 8 – June 12)

To celebrate global community and teamwork, we are launching a school-wide World Cup Spirit Week packed with action on and off the field. Mark your calendars for these major highlights:

  • Monday, June 8 (Right After School) | Staff vs. Kids Soccer Game right here at Crestwood ES: Come watch our students test their skills against the school staff on our home turf! It’s bound to be a match filled with high energy, plenty of laughs, and maybe just a little bit of friendly rivalry.

  • The Grand Finale | 2nd Annual Crestwood vs. Lynbrook Soccer Game: We are closing out our epic spirit week at Lewis HS for our second annual community showdown. Come out, wear your school colors, and help us cheer our players on to victory!

Please note: More detailed information about daily dress-up themes and Spirit Week activities will be provided next week!

Thank you so much for your continued partnership, enthusiasm, and unwavering support of our school. Let’s finish this year strong, keep those attendance streaks alive, and make these last 13 days unforgettable for our kids!

Warmly,

Ms. Casablanca

Budget Update

School Board Adopts Fiscal Year 2027 Approved Budget

On May 21, the Fairfax County School Board unanimously adopted the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Approved Budget, continuing FCPS’ commitment to sustaining excellence by prioritizing competitive compensation and strategic investments that support student success.

The adopted budget reflects the division’s ongoing efforts to navigate a challenging fiscal environment shaped in part by chronic state underfunding and economic uncertainty. Despite these challenges, the budget maintains key investments and restores several reductions made during the prior fiscal year. Read about the FY 2027 Budget.
