Don't Blink...First Cardinals, Now Graduates!

Forestville Elementary was thrilled to welcome back a special group of Cardinals as graduating seniors from Langley High School and Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology returned for our annual Grad Walk tradition.

Dressed in their caps and gowns, these former Forestville students walked the halls where their educational journeys began, inspiring our current Cardinals and reminding them of the exciting possibilities that lie ahead. It was a meaningful opportunity for our youngest learners to celebrate the achievements of those who once sat in the very same classrooms.

We are incredibly proud of all our graduates and grateful they took the time to come home to Forestville. Congratulations, Class of 2026! Once a Cardinal, always a Cardinal.

Our Cardinals Take Center Stage

Thursday, our band, orchestra, and choir filled the school with music, energy, and Cardinal pride during their spring concert performance for students and staff. It was a wonderful celebration of the hard work, talent, and dedication these musicians have shown all year long.

We are so proud of our student performers for sharing their gifts with our school community. Students held a second assembly for families later that evening and we had an even larger turnout! Thank you to Ms. Althoff, Ms. Stover and Ms. Claros for their amazing work preparing our students for these special performances!

Tiny Caps, Big Dreams

This week, we celebrated a very special milestone as our preschool students graduated! Surrounded by proud families, friends, and staff, our littlest Cardinals marked the end of an important chapter and the beginning of an exciting new adventure.

The graduation ceremony was filled with smiles, songs, and memorable moments as students showcased all they have learned and accomplished this year. We are so proud of their growth, curiosity, and hard work.

Congratulations to our preschool graduates! We can't wait to see all the amazing things you'll do as you continue your educational journey.

Expanding Summer Learning Opportunities for All Students

At Forestville, we're committed to providing every student with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive both during the school year and over the summer.

This summer, all students will be allowed to check out a technology device that will support continued growth. This will ensure continued access to tools such as ST Math and Benchmark Universe that allow students to work at their own pace and level. Programs like these adapt to each child's needs, providing extra support in areas where they're building skills and advancing them when they're ready for more challenges. This opportunity will allow students to continue their personalized learning at home, to develop digital literacies and important routines around managing their technology.

If you are interested in checking out a laptop for the summer for your student, please complete this form for each student by Friday, June 12

Got Library Books?

Forestville reminds all students and families that library books are now past due! Please return all library books as soon as possible. Please help students check at home, in the car or maybe even a soccer bag for any missing library books. Ms. Ciullo must inventory all materials by year end and with the last day of school coming quickly, we want to help make her work easier!

Be Sure to Check Lost & Found

Forestville invites all families to visit the Lost & Found the next time you are at school and before the end of the year. All items remaining after the last day will be donated. There are jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles and so much more!
