Principal's Message
Dear Chesterbrook Families,
We have many exciting events coming up to close out the school year, so please review our upcoming dates and mark your calendars. As we are approaching the close of the school year we look forward to seeing so many families in these last couple of weeks. I'm also very excited to welcome back our High School grads on Monday for their senior Chesterbrook clapout. What a wonderful time for our former Chipmunks as they step into this next chapter.
We have received a special community grant that allows us to hold an Ice Cream afterschool social from 5-6PM on Tuesday, June 9th before our evening Brain Show. Bring your Family, enjoy an ice cream, connect with friends or meet someone new and stay for the most exciting assembly ever, The Brain Show at 6PM in the gym. We look forward to a fun filled event with our Chesterbrook Families.
Required registration for our grant and food purchases:
Please RSVP HERE by noon on Friday, 6/5, for the ice cream social.
Testing is complete and now is time for celebrating all the hard work and growth this school year. This week we held our annual GRECO and Virginia History days for 3rd and 4th grades and next week our 5th grade students will have GATP day. Our celebrations of learning are all around and we appreciate all the parent volunteers that help make it happen!
Wishing everyone a great end of the school year!
Sincerely,
Stacy Kirkpatrick
World Cup Field Day is Friday
Each class has been assigned a country for our Field Day and are asked to wear the colors of their designation! Challenges and fun are ahead for all countries as our students compete. Please apply sunscreen, send with a hat, water bottle and change of clothes as they most likely will get wet.

Summer Quest Registration
Summer Quest is right around the corner. Are you looking for a fun, hands-on, engaging and enriching experience for your child? Check out our camp classes here.
Volunteers to Help with Moving Supplies
We are in need of a couple parent volunteers that may be able to help transport our summer quest supplies to Franklin Sherman at the very end of this school year. Do you have a large vehicle and perhaps a teen or two that may like to help move supplies and earn service hours? We would be grateful for the help! Please reach out to Maddy Hamsher-King at mdhamsherkin@fcps.edu if you would be available.
