OES Seniors 2026

Full circle moment. 🎓❤️

From elementary hallways to graduation day. Some of our former students returned today in their caps and gowns, inspiring the next generation as they walked the halls where their journey began. Congratulations, Class of 2026—we are so proud of you!

First graders creating space creations

1st Graders listened to Mrs. Harmon’s Library read aloud called “Mae Among the Stars,” an inspirational story that highlights how a young Mae Jemison’s curiosity, intelligence, and determination helped lead to her success at NASA as the first African American woman to travel in space. Afterwards, students used their own imaginations to show what they would build if they had a chance to fly into outer space. Some of the STEAM creations included were a spaceship, a space museum, a space home, a space station, a mushroom kingdom, and a rocket!

End-of-Year Medication Disposal Guidelines

All medications currently in the health room must be picked up by parents—by June 17 at 2:00PM. For safety reasons, medicine cannot be sent home with children, nor kept by the school from one school year to the next. Medicine not picked up by parents will be discarded.

Medication authorization forms for next school year may be obtained from the school or online.  A medication authorization form is required for any medication, prescription or over-the-counter, to be kept at school.  For additional information, call our Health Aide, Ms. Sedra (703-937-6110).
