 Dear Families,
Welcome to a short—but meaningful—week here at Wolftrap! With the holidays and a teacher workday, we only have two days together in the classrooms, but we are making every moment count as we head into the final stretch of the school year.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ms. Lee, Ms. Behdad and everyone in our community who helped us remember and honor Memorial Day. It was a powerful week leading up to our Monday holiday for our students and staff. Through our morning flag-raising ceremony, the "Missing Man Table" display in our library, and our collective efforts in honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice, our students were able to learn about this special day in a respectful way.
I also want to acknowledge those grade levels who have held their POG POL events! (Portrait of a Graduate, Presentations of Learning!) Over the last week, Kinder, 1st and 3rd grade students blew us away with their insight and effort. The momentum continues as our 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders gear up for their own presentations over the coming weeks. Please check with your child’s teacher to find out exactly when they will be presenting so you can celebrate this moment with them.
As we power through this week, thank you for your continued partnership and support. Let's make it a great week!
Dr. Maggie Grove, Principal
Ms. Megan Tipton, Assistant Principal
