PTA Updates
2026-2027 PTA BOARD:
Time is running out! As we approach the end of the school year, the Mark Twain MS PTA urgently needs volunteers to step forward and help continue the strong tradition of supporting our amazing staff and enriching the student experience for all. We must vote in a new PTA Board before school closes in June, and several key leadership positions are still open for the 2026–2027 school year:
Families of both rising 7th- and 8th-graders are eligible to serve. Know someone who would be a great fit? Maybe it’s you!
Without a full board in place, the PTA cannot continue many of the programs, events, and support that our school community depends on each year. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact, connect with other families, and help support our administrators, teachers, staff, and students.

8TH GRADE DANCE:
We are just 2 weeks and 2 days away from the 8th Grade Dance!
The 8th Grade Dance will take place on June 12th from 6:00–8:00 PM, and we need your help to make it a special night for our students! Our theme this year is “An Evening in Paris,” which was voted on by the students.
This event is completely volunteer-run, and it is a BIG undertaking to transform the space for the dance. We especially need volunteers who are handy and comfortable using a ladder to help with:
- Building our 11-foot Eiffel Tower kit
- Hanging draping and decorations on the walls
- General decorating and setup
We also need help during the event with chaperoning, concessions, and cleanup afterward. Many hands are needed to help create a memorable evening for our rising 9th graders!

8TH GRADE FIELD DAY:
On June 17, we will celebrate the last day of school and our final day with our 8th-grade Tigers at Field Day!
To make this event a success, the Twain administrators, teachers, and staff rely on donations and support from our amazing Twain community. This year, for added convenience, many of the requested items have been added to an Amazon Wishlist, with items shipped directly to the school.
As our 8th graders do not have a graduation ceremony, Field Day, and the 8th Grade Dance serve as two special opportunities to celebrate and recognize them before they head off to high school. We hope to make these events memorable for every student.
Please consider supporting this final celebration of the school year by donating items, volunteering your time, or both!
