A Note From Bailey's Administration

Hi Bailey’s Tigers!

It was a short but exciting week, and we were so glad to see our students back on Thursday and Friday. All of our classes were able to have their Field Day and they had so much fun! A huge thank you to our PE teachers, Mr. Peterson and Ms. Dincher, for coordinating this annual event, as so much work goes into the planning. We also want to thank all of our staff members and community volunteers who helped support the event to make sure it was a success. Additionally, our 1st grade classes wrapped up their field trips to Schlagel Farms last week, where they had a great time picking fresh berries and learning about the plant life cycle.

Looking ahead to next week, we are excited to invite you to our Kindergarten Museum all about Holidays and Celebrations from around the world! Families are invited to walk through the kindergarten hallways on Thursday, June 4th, from 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM to see the amazing exhibits and hard work our kindergarteners have put together. We are so proud of their creativity and look forward to celebrating their learning with you. Let’s have a great week!

Optional Summer Learning with Devices at Home

Laptop Graphic

We're committed to providing every student with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive both during the school year and over the summer.

This summer, all students in FCPS will be allowed to check out a technology device that will support continued growth.  This will ensure continued access to tools such as ST Math, Lexia and Benchmark Universe that allow students to work at their own pace and level. Programs like these adapt to each child's needs, providing extra support in areas where they're building skills and advancing them when they're ready for more challenges. This opportunity will allow students to continue their personalized learning at home, to develop digital literacies and important routines around managing their technology.

If you would like this opportunity for your child, please complete this Google Form.

You will then receive confirmation from our School Based Technology Specialist, Nicole Sandrowicz.

Have questions? Please contact Nicole Sandrowicz on Talking Points or through email at nesandrowicz@fcps.edu.

School Board Adopts Fiscal Year 2027 Approved Budget

On May 21, the Fairfax County School Board unanimously adopted the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Approved Budget, continuing FCPS’ commitment to sustaining excellence by prioritizing competitive compensation and strategic investments that support student success.

The adopted budget reflects the division’s ongoing efforts to navigate a challenging fiscal environment shaped in part by chronic state underfunding and economic uncertainty. Despite these challenges, the budget maintains key investments and restores several reductions made during the prior fiscal year. Read about the FY 2027 Budget.
