Greetings from the WFES Library! We had an absolutely fabulous year in library land, with nearly 30,000 books checked out. We love how much our students love reading!
Student library book checkout ended for the year on Friday, 5/29. All families will receive a list via the email address of the enrolling parent of all books on their students’ library accounts on the afternoon of Monday, 6/1. This email will include ALL books currently checked out to EACH student, whether they are overdue or not. If you have more than one child who attends WFES, you will receive a separate email for each one. Please use this list as a guide and take some time during the coming week to gather up all books and send them back to school ASAP. Updated lists will be sent every few days after this and daily the last week of school so all obligations can be met prior to the last day of school. There will also be an option to pay for or replace missing books that have been lost. We greatly appreciate your assistance in helping us get our collection back to its full capacity before the summer so it can be enjoyed by the upcoming generation of readers next year!

Meet us on the field for an End of Year Picnic on June 16th from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. Bring your own blanket and dinner. |
Congratulations to our new Green Team officers for the 26-27 school year! They are eager to lead WFES in our environmental endeavors. Katherine, Isla, Alexa, Cameron, Bennett, Juliette and Christopher (not pictured).
With so many students riding bikes, scooters, and e-bikes to school, we need your help ensuring they get to and from campus safely. Whether they are pedaling a traditional two-wheeler or zipping around on an electric motor, please review these essential safety reminders with your kids:
1. Protect Their Brains
It’s a non-negotiable: every student needs to wear a helmet. A properly fitted helmet is their number one defense against serious injury.
2. Pedestrians Have the Right of Way
School zones are crowded. Remind your kids to slow down significantly around foot traffic, especially near school entrances. If they need to pass a pedestrian, they should give a polite warning ("On your left!") or ring a bell well in advance.
3. Manage E-Bike Speed
E-bikes and motorized scooters are heavy and fast.
The Golden Rule: Just because a ride can go 20 mph doesn't mean it should around a school.
Remind your riders to keep their speed in check, allow plenty of braking distance, and never carry passengers (one person per scooter!).
4. Ditch the Distractions
Texting or wearing noise-canceling headphones while riding is highly dangerous. Students need their eyes on the road and their ears open to hear approaching cars, sirens, or pedestrians.
We have also been receiving reports from the community about preteens and teens driving recklessly in the neighborhood on E-bikes and E-motorcycles. This is an article with a recent case of a parent being charged due to reckless behavior by her 14 year old while on an E-motorcycle.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our streets and sidewalks safe for all students!
Celebrate your child's upcoming 6th grade promotion! WFES "Congrats" yard signs can be picked up in the office at anytime. We cannot send them home with your student, so please arrange to come by the front office during our regular hours of 8:00am-4:00pm. They are FREE!

Please stop in anytime school is open and browse to find any lost items. Small items such as watches, rosaries, rings, etc are kept in the office. All items will be donated at the end of the school year.
The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than 1:40 pm, student dismissal time, on the last day of school, June 17.
Medication left in the health room after that time will be discarded. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student.
Medication authorization forms for next school year may be obtained online. A medication authorization form is required for any medication, prescription or over-the-counter, to be kept at school.
