- School Supplies for 26-27 School Year 🖍️
Dear Poplar Tree Families,
We had another great week at Poplar Tree! Our 5th graders took their Science SOL test and our 5th graders rehearsed for their upcoming band concert. We were sad to have missed Field Day due to the rain, but are hoping for clear skies next Friday, May 29!
As a reminder, today is the final day to submit the Family Input form for your child for next year. The form is linked below.
We hope everyone stays dry this weekend and we look forward to seeing the students back at school on Thursday!
Sue Andujar, Principal
Amy Alley, Assistant Principal

Check out this week's video where Ms. Andujar visits Kindergarten where a former Poplar Tree student a soon to be Chantilly High School graduate has been doing an internship for the past two weeks!

If you feel that there is pertinent information to support your child’s success for the upcoming school year, please complete this optional Family Input Form by TODAY, Friday, May 22.
This system is not intended for families to request specific teachers. Requests for specific teachers will not be honored.

🎺 Join Band or Strings🎻
Participation in Strings is available to all rising 4th - 6th graders and participation in Band is available to all rising 5th and 6th graders! Yearbooks will be distributed on June 5; don't miss out on a guaranteed copy for your student and order before the distribution date. Library books due Friday, June 5📖
Please return all books to the Poplar Tree Library by Friday, June 5 to avoid a lost book fine. Payment for lost books can be made using My School Bucks starting on June 5 but a hard-cover replacement is always preferred. Check your email for a list of books your student currently has checked out.
Use the Raptor Safe App!
Looking to speed up front office check-in during these last busy weeks of school? Families can now use the Raptor Safe app to make the process quicker and easier!
Before your next visit, simply download the app on your phone and complete the one-time setup from home by:
- Uploading your driver’s license
- Taking your photo (saved in the app so you won’t need to retake a selfie each visit!)
- Completing the verification process (most important step!)
Once set up, you’ll still check in at the front office every time you visit the school, but instead of rescanning your ID and taking a new photo, you can simply scan the QR code from your app for a much faster check-in experience!

Deloitte Impact Day! ❤️
Poplar Tree is excited to welcome a group of volunteers for Deloitte’s Impact Day on June 5th, led by PTES parents and PTA members Jason Richards and Jillian Ramlogan. This year’s volunteers will make a meaningful difference providing outside beautification by helping with weeding, edging, and mulching the grounds; assembling and planting large planters; refreshing designated parking spaces; and also installing soundproofing to enhance our learning environments.
If you are a PTES family member who works at Deloitte, you can sign up through the internal Deloitte Impact Day page beginning today. For additional information, please contact Jason Richards (richa2jm@gmail.com) or Jillian Ramlogan (j@ramlogan.me).
