It was a busy and memorable week for our Air Force JROTC cadets as they attended several exciting events throughout the region. Last weekend, cadets traveled to the Martinsburg Air National Guard Station, where they learned about military aviation operations and had the exciting opportunity to ride aboard a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft, a unique experience they are sure to remember for years to come!
Members of our AFJROTC Color Guard also had the honor of presenting the colors at Dulles International Airport during the arrival of an Honor Flight carrying veterans to Washington, D.C. While there, cadets had the privilege of meeting and taking a photo with a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, creating a meaningful connection between generations of service members.
To cap off the week, cadets proudly presented the colors in front of thousands of baseball fans at Nationals Park before a Washington Nationals game. A Nats win against the Minnesota Twins was the cherry on top of this very special day!
We are grateful for all of the amazing experiences available to our AFJROTC cadets and extremely proud of the way they represent Chantilly Academy!
Cheers to one last service! Culinary Arts students capped off a year of serving up delicious meals with one last Friday Grab 'n Go lunch.
Pharmacy Technician 2 students celebrated the completion of their 170 classroom hours. We are wishing these students the best of luck as they take their Pharmacy Technician Board Certification next week!
The school year may be coming to an end, but our STEM Engineering students aren't slowing down. They are staying busy in the lab creating solar-powered cars and racing them down the Academy hallway.
PT/OT students showed off their dance moves this week and competed for the coveted mirror ball necklace as they demonstrated myotomes and dermatomes.
