Principal's Message

This week, we celebrated Staff Appreciation Week, a time to pause and honor the incredible dedication of our entire Lake Braddock team. From the smiling faces in our front office and the tireless work of our facilities crew to our essential support personnel, every individual plays a vital role in making our school a home for our students.

While we celebrate every member of our staff, I want to extend a special thank-you to our teachers. At the heart of LBSS is the spark that happens in the classroom. Our teachers are the architects of our students' futures, working tirelessly to guide, inspire, and support them through every challenge and breakthrough. We are profoundly grateful for their daily commitment to excellence and the care they pour into every lesson.

One of the highlights of our week was delivering handwritten appreciation notes from students to our staff. Seeing the joy these messages brought was a powerful reminder of the bonds built here. If your child didn’t have the chance to write a note during the school day, I encourage them to take a few minutes this weekend to jot down a quick thank-you. They can bring it to school on Monday to deliver to any teacher or staff member who has made a difference in their year.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership and for helping us celebrate the people who make Lake Braddock Secondary School so special.

Go Bruins!

Lindsey Kearns

Testing Information

Spring Testing

The Spring Testing has begun. All-important testing information and the testing calendar can be found on the Lake Braddock Testing Website. Please note important dates your student may be testing and make every attempt to avoid testing interruptions through the first week of June.

Testing continues through the month of May to include make-ups for Reading, Math and Science.  If your student missed their assessment, they will automatically be rescheduled.  Please be on the lookout for testing emails to students.  Students need to bring their school issued laptops for testing, chargers and their own writing utensils.

If you have specific questions about testing, please reach out to your student’s counselor or subject specific teacher.

AP Testing

Everything about AP Testing is on LB's Advanced Placement website.

Students who are scheduled to take AP exams should have read through the AP Student Responsibilities document and the AP Exam Student Presentation 2026: What Bruins Need to Know About Taking AP Exams.  These items have been posted on the above website, Schoology, LBHS Counseling Facebook page, and sent to students and parents/guardians.

Parents/Guardians can help their students perform their best on these exams by reminding them to get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, bring their school-issued laptop to school for updates, charge it every night, and that the cell phone/electronic device policy is strictly enforced during AP testing season.

Our shared goal is your student’s success. If you have questions or concerns about AP testing, please conatct the AP Testing Team:
