Cardinal Forest ES has a NEW Visitor Check-in System beginning this week. Downloading and registering on the Raptor Safe App is not required, you can still use your driver’s license in the building, but this is faster.
What is Raptor Safe?
Raptor Safe is a free mobile app designed to make school visits and student dismissals both faster and more secure. By using the app, you can create a Raptor Passport, which allows you to check in at the school entrance by simply scanning a QR code. A new QR code is generated each time so no screenshots. 🍲 Food Assistance and Resource Guide Food insecurity impacts more than 96,000 Fairfax County residents. Learn how to help and discover the many resources available to support those who need food assistance or shelter. View the county’s Human Services Resource Guide.
We are so appreciative of the Mighty Red Bird teachers and staff! We are celebrating them this week with Sun-sational food, drinks, and treats. We are able to put together such a great set of events thanks to the generosity of the community during Soar to Success and the gift of PTA volunteers' time and talents.
Can’t volunteer the first week of May? No problem! If you would like to make a donation to support all of the Staff/Teacher Appreciation week events above, please visit PTBoard and make your donation online here!
Please join us for our final General PTA Meeting of the year where we will be voting on two new members of the PTA Board (see slate below), as well as voting on our Summer Budget, and potential changes to the PTA Meeting schedule for next school year, as well as time with our wonderful Admin, updates from the Family Vision Group, and more! Register for the meeting here - we need 10 PTA members present to be able to vote on these critical items to prepare for next year so please plan to join us!
Come enjoy an evening of spring weather with our CFES community. In addition to yard games, a book swap, fun music, and a temporary tattoo station, we are also excited to welcome some special guests to the picnic this year! Sarah Tapenes of Photos by Sarah Beth will be providing free family photos (preregistration is a must, and we have about 10 spots left - click here!), and both Kona Ice and DC Billy Cheesesteaks will be on-site to provide delicious dinner and sweets options.
There are a few spots left open for volunteers that we’d love your help with - especially the family photos station! Click here to join us in making the picnic a success!
The Lost and Found is very full! Please make sure to remind your student to come and look through the items over the next week! Items will be donated on Friday, May 15th!
