Final PTA Meeting of the school year
Please come to Westlawn tonight to celebrate a most excellent year and get a step up on planning for the next one. We will meet in person at the school at 5:30. Refreshments will be served and we will have a bit of swag to hand out from previous events to clear out the storage closet. If the cheese and crackers and our company isn't enough, let the free things sway you! Childcare will also be provided!
As you're planning out your evening consider whether you are ready to step up and take a leadership role next year. These positions (President, Vice, Treasurer and Secretary) are important to guide us through programming and are necessary to continue supporting the Westlawn community with events, outside funding. We will happily discuss the time commitment if you are thinking of stepping up. If it seems like a lot, we can split positions between two people (a previous set of parents shared the position of Secretary for a few years and we did not have a favorite...they both were excellent!). We will not vote on new leaders tonight, but we will need to have volunteers at the ready at our first 2026-2027 school year meeting.
Meanwhile, I am off to hopefully not welcome all the walkers and riders to school in the rain! I'll see you on the hill!
