Hello MUES Families,

This week, we celebrated Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to our McNair PTA and all of the McNair Upper families who helped make this a special week for our amazing school staff. Your food, drinks, and gift card donations were all very much appreciated. Because of your generous contributions, we were able to treat staff to something special every day this week. Thank you for taking the time to join me in celebrating them for all of the incredible things they do to support our Mustangs!

Last week, a team of 3rd graders from McNair Upper participated in the Junior First Lego League, (JFLL) competition at Waples Mill Elementary School. Please join me in congratulating the following Mustangs for their awesome work at this exciting competition:

  • Rehansh S.
  • Aadi G.
  • Anika R.
  • Hiren D.
  • Ishani J.

On Monday we will enter week three of SOL testing at MUES. All of our  Mustangs will take their Math SOL, while 5th grade Mustangs will also be preparing for their Science SOL. Please continue to help your Mustang do their very best on these assessments by ensuring they get to bed early the night before their test, eat a well-balanced breakfast the morning of their test, and arrive to school on-time. We are proud of our Mustangs for working incredibly hard these past few weeks!

I wish all of our moms, stepmoms, aunts, and grandmothers in our Mustang family a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!

Have a great weekend, Mustang Family!

Your Proud Principal,

Mrs. Goddin
