Our Broncos, Our Moments, Our Story

Our Brookfield Broncos are excited for their Standards of Learning Tests after their first SOL Pep Rally. Our pre-k, kindergarten, first, and second-grade students cheered on our third through sixth-grade students as they entered the gym. In the gym, students heard from our administrators, student speakers, and a special message from Heather Victorino, a country artist from Nashville!

Students at Green Springs Garden Students learning about nature at Green Springs Garden

Our second graders had an amazing day at Green Spring Gardens in Alexandria!

The students became nature detectives during a scavenger hunt and got a hands-on look at the secret world of pollinators. A huge thanks to the Green Spring staff for making it such an unforgettable day of learning!

Four students with Chantilly Pyramid Principals and Region 5 Leadership Team

Four of our outstanding 5th and 6th-grade students proudly represented our school by sharing their AVID journey with the Chantilly Pyramid Principals and the Region 5 leadership team. Their stories were a powerful reminder that student voice matters; each reflection was filled with growth, determination, and pride. We are incredibly proud of our students for lifting their voices, celebrating their successes, and inspiring everyone in the room.

Brookfield staff joined colleagues from Poplar Tree and Cub Run Elementary Schools for a collaborative AAP Parent Information Night, supporting families as they learned more about the services offered in FCPS. It was a meaningful evening of connection, shared learning, and partnership. We’re grateful for the opportunity to work together in support of our students and community.

PreK students looking out of the window at construction

Our curious PreK students got a front-row view of progress, peeking out the window as crews poured concrete for our new gym. Their excitement says it all; learning is happening everywhere, even as we watch our school grow. We can’t wait to see this space come to life as our renovation continues!

A Message from Our Admin Team

Three admin standing next to sign that says Broncoville

Dear Brookfield Community,

We are still feeling the excitement from our First Annual SOL Hype Pep Rally, and what an incredible event it was! Our school truly came together in a powerful show of encouragement, pride, and Bronco spirit.

As our 3rd to 6th-grade scholars entered the building, they were welcomed in the most inspiring way. Our 6th-grade teachers created a special path through Broncoville, lined with inspirational signs to set the tone for success. Waiting inside was an unforgettable scene. PreK to 2nd-grade students and staff filled the space with a sea of pom-poms, cheering enthusiastically as our older students made their way into the gym.

Once inside, the energy only grew stronger. Students across grades 3 to 6 cheered one another on, building excitement and confidence for the upcoming SOL assessments. Representatives from each grade level shared heartfelt words of encouragement, and the applause that followed was a true reflection of the support our students have for one another.

One of the highlights of the event was a special message from country singer-songwriter Heather Victorino, all the way from Nashville, Tennessee. Her words of encouragement added an extra layer of inspiration for our students.

Heather Victorino's message is linked here.

Surrounding the gym's perimeter stood the dedicated educators who have supported and guided our students on their learning journeys. Seeing our entire learning community together, filled with smiles, pride, and encouragement, was truly inspiring.

As students exited the gym, the inspiration continued. Hallways were lined with signs featuring uplifting messages illustrated by Ms. Sisler and hung by Ms. Arely, creating a lasting reminder of encouragement as students returned to their classrooms.

There is no doubt that our Broncos are ready to shine.

We also want to celebrate an important accomplishment as a school community. Our current chronic absenteeism rate is 9.4 percent. This is a significant improvement from this time last year, when we were at 15.5 percent. This is a huge celebration for Brookfield. Our students are showing up each day because attendance matters, and it is making a difference. We are proud to share that we are currently below the division’s chronic absenteeism rate. Thank you for your partnership in making daily attendance a priority. Let’s keep up the great work and finish the school year strong.

Our SOL testing schedule for the upcoming week is as follows:

  • Grade 5: Tuesday, May 5
  • Grade 3: Wednesday, May 6
  • Grade 6: Thursday, May 7
  • Grade 4: Friday, May 8

We believe in each and every one of our students. Please help your child prepare by ensuring they get a good night’s sleep, enjoy breakfast available in the cafeteria, and most importantly, believe in themselves and do their very best.

Let’s go, Brookfield!
