Additionally special reminder about electronics: Students in Possession of Unapproved Devices in the Testing Room

In accordance with the AP Exam Terms and Conditions for Students and communication provided by College Board to AP Testing Coordinators, students are not permitted to have unapproved electronic devices in the testing room.

Terms and Conditions to include: Electronic equipment including phones, smartwatches, smart glasses, fitness trackers, wearable technology, cameras, recording or listening devices, or any other type of electronic or communication device (other than your testing device, approved calculator, and any technology where you have an approved testing accommodation). All stylus pens, Apple pens, smart pens, iPad pencils, and other electronic writing instruments.

If a student is observed with these or any other prohibited devices during testing or breaks, they will be dismissed from the exam. The device will be collected and secured by testing staff, the student’s score will be canceled, and the student won’t be eligible for a retest. The AP Testing Coordinator will be required to file an incident report with College Board after which additional consequences may be determined at their discretion.

Please remind your student of the importance of keeping any of these items out of the testing room for the entire duration, including during testing breaks.

We look forward to providing a positive testing environment so that students can demonstrate all that they have learned this year. Thank you for your support in ensuring our students are on time and ready to do their best!
