Dear Coates Students and Families,
As we approach the final weeks of this school year, I want to share some personal news with you. After three wonderful years at Coates, I will be transitioning to a new role as the Assistant Principal at Floris Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.
It has been an absolute honor to serve as part of your school community. I am so grateful for the warm welcome you gave me three years ago and for the privilege of partnering with you to support your children’s growth and success.
To my students: seeing your smiles in the hallways, your hard work in the classrooms, and your kindness toward one another has been the highlight of my time here. You have taught me so much about resilience and joy. I leave Coates a stronger and more reflective leader because of the time I spent with you.
While I am excited for this next step in my journey, I will truly miss our community. I leave as a proud STAR, and I look forward to watching you all continue to SOAR.
With gratitude,
Resheeda Hinkson
