Our third graders had a wonderful time at the National Zoo this week!
Dear Canterbury Woods Families,
Our Fun Fair is happening tomorrow, May 2nd, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and we can’t wait to see you there! There will be games, activities, delicious food, and fun for the whole community. Volunteers are still needed, please consider signing up. We hope to see you there!
This week, we celebrated our administrative professionals. Behind every successful school is a dedicated office staff, and we are grateful for ours. Their efficiency and positive approach ensure a smooth and supportive environment for students, staff, and families. We would also like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Donna Kruse on her retirement and thank her for her years of service and commitment to our community and FCPS.
At the same time, we are excited to welcome Rebecca Fernandes as our new Administrative/Finance Assistant. We look forward to the contributions she will bring to our team!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Leslie Malkowski, Kristi McGeehan, and Mindy Milliron

Thank you for taking the time to share input about your child’s learning needs. This information, along with teacher recommendations and school-based data, helps guide our class placement process.
We are fortunate to have a strong and dedicated staff, and we ask that specific teacher names not be included on this form as we are unable to honor individual staff requests.
Our administration and teachers carefully review each submission as we work to create balanced classrooms and the best possible learning environment for every student. While all input is thoughtfully considered, we are not able to guarantee specific requests.
Please submit this form by May 15th to ensure your feedback is included in the placement process. Thank you for your partnership and support.

Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow. We All Belong Here!
In FCPS, we all belong. From the first day of school, to the last day of school, every child matters. If your student is having a hard time finishing the year strong and attending school, please contact a trusted adult at our school — a teacher, counselor, or administrator. Visit FCPS’ website for more attendance resources.
CWES will use Schoology for all Tuesday Folder contents. All flyers are posted to Schoology Course: Canterbury Woods Elementary School All Parents/Guardians and contents are listed below.
