Good morning,
Last week, FCPS ACE was proud to partner with the U.S. Department of Labor to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2026. Apprenticeship and Skilled Trades courses are a top priority for FCPS Adult and Community Education, as these careers drive our nation's economies and provide hundreds of thousands of stable careers.
Because the importance of the nation's skilled workforce deserves more than just a week, we're offering $100 off select, online, skilled trades courses purchased through May 31!
Select classes are now $100 off for:
- Electrical
- HVAC
- Plumbing, and
- Welding
And thousands more are available, and an affordable investment, in everything from Additive Manufacturing to Tool and Die Making with "hands-on" training through a virtual reality headset.
For those just beginning their careers or looking to switch, our in-person Apprenticeship 101: Core Construction Skills class earns you 80 hours of apprenticeship-related instruction as well as an industry-recognized credential through the NCCER Registry System. FCPS ACE is able to offer this course at exceptionally-low tuition through grant funding, making it an affordable jump start to a career in the trades.
In addition to the Industrial Trades, FCPS ACE also has special offers and classes forming in Healthcare, Computers and IT, and other Business areas. A few of these are highlighted below.
No matter your current skill set or career interests, continued education in any field can give you the confidence and the advantage in today's competitive job market.
And because we’re dedicated to making continuing education and career training affordable, scholarships, financial aid, and payment plans are available to remove barriers to continuing your education. Unlike other programs, our aid applications are quick, easy, and don’t require invasive financial disclosures.
Classes are available in person at Northern Virginia locations, with thousands more available online, any time, from anywhere, so you don’t have to choose between working to earn a living or continuing your education.
