Elementary Institute for the Arts (E-IFTA): A dynamic summer enrichment program serving students currently in grades K–5. Students currently in grade 6 are eligible for our secondary program, Institute for the Arts (IFTA).
Our programs offer students daily experiences in Art, Music, Theatre, and Dance in a fun, supportive environment designed to nurture creativity and confidence.

Camp Fairfax: Serves rising 1st through 7th graders and is held in public schools and community centers throughout Fairfax County. Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are provided. A sliding fee scale is available. Registration opens March 17!

Camp is open to all female athletes, regardless of what school they attend. We typically have athletes from 10-15 different high schools and feeder schools.

Cardinal Forest ES has a NEW Visitor Check-in System beginning this week. Downloading and registering on the Raptor Safe App is not required, you can still use your driver’s license in the building, but this is faster.
What is Raptor Safe?
Raptor Safe is a free mobile app designed to make school visits and student dismissals both faster and more secure. By using the app, you can create a Raptor Passport, which allows you to check in at the school entrance by simply scanning a QR code. A new QR code is generated each time so no screenshots. Support Cardinal Forest Elementary at our last Spirit event this school year! The South Block Springfield Spirit Week will run the entire week of April 17-26.

Meet us at Door 1 outside the school to Chalk the Walk with messages, notes and drawings of thanks for our staff/teachers! We will have chalk available, but if you have chalk, please bring it! We hope to cover as much of the front and side walk as we can to surprise our staff/teachers on Monday morning!
Calling all 6th Grade Parents! If you are interested in helping with the 6th Grade Party on Friday, June 12th this is the meeting for you! Lauren Gill and Megan Neforos, our 6th Grade Committee Chairs, will share the plans for the party and answer questions from interested volunteers! Please register for the meeting here! Please join us for our final General PTA Meeting of the year where we will be voting on two new members of the PTA Board (see slate below), as well as voting on our Summer Budget, and potential changes to the PTA Meeting schedule for next school year, as well as time with our wonderful Admin, updates from the Family Vision Group, and more!  Come enjoy an evening of spring weather with our CFES community. In addition to yard games, a book swap, fun music, and a temporary tattoo station, we are also excited to welcome some special guests to the picnic this year! Sarah Tapenes of Photos by Sarah Beth will be providing free family photos (preregistration is a must - click here!!), and both Kona Ice and DC Billy Cheesesteaks will be on-site to provide delicious dinner and sweets options.
