Paper copies of K-6 progress reports reflecting 3rd quarter were sent home on Thursday 4/16. Parents/caregivers can view all progress reports, test results, attendance results, etc. in SIS ParentVue. If you need a SIS ParentVue account, please visit FCPS SIS ParentVue
Students in Grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 take a reading and math Standards of Learning (SOL) Assessment in the areas of reading and math. 5th graders also take a science SOL. Below is the calendar for homeroom testing. (Please note that some students with special education or ESOL accommodations may test on a different day–you will be notified if this is the case for your child.)

Camelot committees will meet this spring to determine eligibility for school-based Advanced Academic Program (AAP) services for next school year. While all children are screened using a variety of sources, if you would like to refer your child for screening for services, please submit the referral form to Amy Ivey, Camelot's Advanced Academic Resource Teacher (AART), at amivey@fcps.edu by April 24, 2026. Our second Donuts with Grownups is a student writing share. The dates are Tuesday, April 28 for Grades K-2 and Friday, May 1 for Grades 3-6. Both events are 8:45-9:30am. Grab a donut and enjoy your child’s writing in your child’s classroom. Feel free to split your time between classrooms if you have more than one child on the same date. If you have children in grades on both dates, but you can’t attend both, you are welcome to have the one child join you in the other child’s classroom.

Help shape the future of Camelot! On Tuesday, May 19 at 7:00 PM, we will hold elections for two key positions on next year’s PTA Executive Board:

Ways and Means VP: Oversee flagship events like the Fun Run and the Basketball Game. (Support is already in place for the Fun Run fundraiser, and we hope to find a basketball lead soon!) This role also manages our School Supply Kits.

Secretary: Attend and take notes for our five executive and three general meetings. If you’re social-media savvy, there is an opportunity to manage our Facebook page!

Luther Jackson Middle School’s drama department is proud to present the timeless class, The Wizard of Oz, and we would love to have you come! Tickets are available on the LJMS website for only $6. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $8. The shows are Thursday, April 30th 7:00 pm, Friday, May 1st, 7:00 pm and Saturday, May 2nd 2:00 pm & 7:00 pm. The 2:00 pm matinee show is especially for our young audience members- after the show there will be a special photo opportunity with cast & crew. Come out and see the world of Oz come to life!
