SOL Support

Spring testing season is here! 📅 Be sure to put testing dates on your family calendar so you don't forget. Check your email and school newsletters for dates and details.

Here are some ways to prepare before a test:- Remind your child to get a good night's rest.- Make sure your child has a healthy breakfast.- Avoid scheduling appointments that would take your child out of school on a testing day.- Remind your child that electronic devices are not allowed in testing, unless required by 504 or IEP.

No Coffee

Important Update Regarding Outside Food and Beverages

Dear Parents and Guardians,

To maintain a focused and productive learning environment, we are implementing a new protocol regarding outside food and beverages brought to school.

Effective Monday, April 13, students who arrive late to school with food or beverages (such as fast food, smoothies, or specialty coffees) will be required to finish or discard the item(s) in the front office before being dismissed to their classrooms. Students will be given a brief amount of time to finish their food or beverage before being required to discard any items.

We have observed that bringing these items into the instructional spaces creates a significant disruption to the learning process and negatively impacts our students' ability to focus on their schoolwork. By ensuring these items stay out of the classrooms, we can better protect the integrity of our instructional time and minimize distractions for all students. Key MS also provides a hot breakfast available, free of charge, for all students every day.

We appreciate your partnership in helping us keep the focus on academics. Thank you for your continued support of our school community.

Sincerely,

Key MS Admin Team
